燕窝 vs 雪蛤

燕窝：

燕窝主要含的是水溶性蛋白质，以及甘氨酸等氨基酸。氨基酸是一种生物活性物质，能促进细胞组织的生长和再生，因此燕窝较适合烧伤病人或放化疗后的病人在康复期食用，帮助损伤细胞的修复、重建。燕窝还含有胶原蛋白、矿物质，因此也被用在各种美容化妆品中。

燕窝的性质较平淡，既不促热，也不滋阴，由于对皮肤有益，皮肤又和肺相表里，所以比较适合的也包括肺部有疾患的人。

雪蛤：

东北当地叫蛤蟆或蛤士蟆,香港、广东人均称为雪哈。春天,林蛙从河里出来,到池塘里进行交配繁殖,之后,到树林里捕食昆虫。直到深秋,逢雨天,它们返回河里冬眠。这时,捕捉的林蛙肚子里的油就长成了,晒干后扒出来就是蛤蟆油。其实不是油,是林蛙的输卵管,医书称为蛤蟆油,现在也称为雪蛤油或雪蛤膏。

其性味咸平，不燥不火，含有大量的蛋白质、氨基酸、各种微量元素和少量有益人体的激素，尤其适合作为日常滋补之品。蛙油具有抗衰驻颜的神奇功效。对人体增高、降血脂、稳血压、抗感冒、嫩肌肤、增强免疫力也有一定效果。另外，如果有冻疮、脚气、水火烫伤，蛙油外敷也有治疗作用。蛙油是一种兼具药用、食补、美容的高级营养品。一年四季皆可食用，长期食用更佳。

How I Like It:
This would be my first oil-cleansing makeup removal. I would say that this is an 'ok' product...it removes makeup completely and has a real nice aroma with it. If you're looking for a cheaper version of Shu Uemura, this would definitely be the one!! ...just one thing...for the last I remember, I've thrown away half a bottle of this cleasing oil...because after some heat (I think...cause one day I just brought it out to fulfill my duty as an makeup artist, and after that...), the color changes from purple to green...and I wonder why...What I guess was some ingredients in it may have been 'allergic' to heat or something like that...So...use it at your own risk, girls...!!

How I Like It:

Here comes my favorite brand for now...Clarins!! Yea, I don't fall in love with a product or brand just for the sake of it's famous-ity or just for the sake of falling in love with them. So, let me tell you what's so great about this makeup removal. Firstly, it's seriously convenient to remove makeups without the need of getting near to the toilet nor the sink! Just use a cotton piece, dap this makeup removal on it, and wipe trough your face...and there you go, makeup cleaned, dirt cleaned (there's no need to wash your face again with water)!! Secondly, it's water base, so, basically I don't have to worry about pore-clogging problem as I did with the previous one (Shu Uemura's). Thirdly, the smell...so fresh and fruity...while clearing of your makeups, it seems to clear of your stress and tiredness of the day too...!!! If to say this product ever has it's fall-short, it'll only be it's not for heavy makeups, so people, if you're going for heavy and waterproof makeups, this will not suit your demands. This product does really work for me, and I'm glad that I've found it!!!

How I Like It:
This, would be what we call a lucky-shot product. This eye makeup remover doesn't really do a good job by removing mascaras (waterproof or non-waterproof). But I still like it, cause nowadays I just didn't seemed to bother to put on my mascara. And although it didn't work well with mascaras, it still does do good by removing makeups around the eye area...I mean real light makeup like powder or foundations. I can't promise whether it'll work well with eyeshadows or eyeliners (cause I don't use them). Overall, it's just being a lucky-shot product after all.

This is a very similar product as the above (Novartis), yet works more effectively than the above...probably it's because the pads are more oily. It's packaging makes it quite a convenient thing to bring around, just that make sure your hands are clean before touching it, you'll never want dirt to fall on the others. Everything is in one container without saperated packets like the above, so it's a hit it or not thing. Just be careful and things would be fine...

I'm just one of those girls whose lips are always dry and crack...well, bleeding does sometimes appear but not that often nowadays because I had just no choice but to make it a habit by bringing a lip balm with me wherever I go. I've seen a lot of them and tried quite a number of them, and here, I'm just going to list them down.

But natural does fine with me, I would always love to put this lip balm on whenever I leave my house...just one thing, the packaging...although it does say in it's website that it's easy and convenient to bring out, I don't think so...it's just such a 'bubble'!! But overall, I would definitely recommend it to guys and gals that have the same problem as me, dry and cracked lips.

Kanebo T'estimo Lip Pure Essence
A lip essence with apricot extract

Main ingredients:
- Apricot Seed Oil: used for their soothing and healing effect on the skin.

How I Like It:
Well, just have to apologize here...there are not many informations of this product online, and the only info I got is that this lip essence is mainly made with apricot seed oil. Among all the lip care product that I've used, I love this the best!! Why? Basically, it has a really rich texture to moisturise lips and it's colourless. Anything more amazing? Yea, this product is such a special product where while it's colorless it gives you a good looking color on your lips...!!! ...erm...meaning to say it'll make your lips glow with radiance in your original lip colour!! I often bring this small tube in my bag and bring it wherever I go (especially shopping), and after eating, comes my 'ritual habit' to put on this lip essence. Guess what? People around me will come asking me what lip gloss I've put on and what's the color. It protects, moisturizes and enhances my lips so much that somehow, sometimes, it makes me feel so proud about my natural lip colour!!!

Finally here comes the famous body shop lip balm! I would say that this product is definitely my favorite lip balm during school days. It has a rich texture and fruity flavor (which I was seriously in love with) always kept me fresh and alert in the early morning...and most importantly, it faithfully kept my lips moisturize till recess. This is not bad an op, IF I've not started with T'estimo lip pure essence.

Wow...you know what? I never knew Body Shop's Vitamin E Lip Care Stick has so much essential ingredients in it!! Since now I know, maybe I should try to look at it differently. But anyway, according to my past experience with this product, I could only say "I don't really like it..." It doesn't have the rich texture that the others have, and it barely kept my lips moisturized enough from keeping the cracks away from them. No offense though...and since now I know that there are so many essential ingredients in it, maybe I could just use it under my lip balm...? ...but that would be wow...layers of lip balms...hehe...

How I Like It:
I don't really have much comment on this product. It seems to be just an 'ok' product that I neither fancy or dislike, but will never be in my consideration as into a lip care. It seemed to be more like a make up rather than lip care, but it's fragrance is surely a selling point of it. Packaging wise, I do think it's quite cute and tiny, easy to bring around, and the price seems reasonable too.

Well, just here again to write a product intro and my personal review on my currently favorite night moisturizer.

And here's basically why the reason:
Night moisturizers or night cream that I've used in the past always cause my face to appear oily just after a few hours I applied them. And as usual, friends and family members around me will be seeing me with my 'beloved' oil blotting paper either in my hands or on my face. Well, you know, it's quite an irritating situation where you have to be with your oil blotting paper everywhere you go. Oily face doesn't only makes you look shiny-bright, give you inconveniences, but also cause oil seeds to appear and pores to enlarge (that's why I have so visible pores now). So, seeing that as a big big problem, I started hunting around for good and problem-solving products, and here, I found one!! I no more have to bring my oil blotter paper everywhere I go anymore!! It's just such an amazing product!!! ...and yea, the best part, after applying it, because it's so easy to be absorb into the skin, you'll feel absolutely nothing on the skin, fresh and soothing, as if you've never put on any cream on!!!

Well, you know, just been to this MalaysianBabes forum (http://www.malaysianbabes.net/forum/forums.html) and saw some reviews and questions about Paul & Joe. Well, of course not the whole forum is discussing about it, just a section, but that topic did remind me of my favorite products of Paul & Joe (since nowadays I'm so into Clarins...). So, just here back again with my personal review...

Well, sad to say that I can't really get their ingredients from the net and...basically I've put their cases into the trash for recycle purpose. So...here we go:

What I Like About It:

I don't really like to put any sunscreen products on my face, they makes my face feel oily, sticky and heavy (no matter what the whichever-brand commercial say, I don't feel any difference with any of the brands, except for Biotherm's WHITE DETOX EXTRA Make-up Base. I really love this make up base, but it's just somewhat pricer). Additionally, this foundation primer did really do a good job by covering some of my pores and make my face look smoother than it usually does.

What I Like About It:
Firstly, I love it's bottle, especially the cap...hehe...I seriously recommend this toner to people who are too busy, too forgetful, or even too lazy (my case) to exfoliate their face at least once a week. This toner will help you exfoliate (or clean) your skin daily if you use it faithfully (daily twice). Of course, it is still recommended to exfoliate your skin at least once a week, but if you're too lazy (or whatever your excuses are), this would be a great product to substitute your exfoliating products.

Whoops!!! Guess there's just something not that right with my 'research' last night...I misunderstood things actually...hehe...so, here's some correction...

Eye Care Experience

Although I can't say that I have a lot of experience with cosmetics, but I could justly say that finding a right product for each individual skin type is somehow a difficult job. And yea, as an cosmetic addict, me too, have the same problem of getting a suitable product for myself. And through my experience, magazines does help, the counter girl does helps, but most of the time, research helps more...of course, going to a specialist would be an better option, but you know, not many of us could afford that...

Lately, my eye care product has reached it's bottom, and I face the same problem as everyone else does. Should I go for the next? Or should I just stay with the same product...?

The product I'm using currently (that's going to finish), is Origin's Eye Doctor. There's one thing I would really love to comment obout this product, it's refreshing honey dew smell...I really love it...! It's quite a fine product, not too oily, not to dry. And the best thing is, it seems to 'lightened' my under eye bump, they're not that obvious anymore!!! Just one thing...fine lines under my eye seemed to still stay there...well, I don't know what to cause that fine line to be there, but there's just one thing I know for sure, I don't want it to be there!! (They makes me look old...sob sob...) Therefore, this time, I would like to try on an eye product with firming effect with it. Origin's Eye Doctor seems to have just the moisturising effects, and although they worked well, I would just want to move on and try those with firming effects to solve my problem...

After some research done on the net...I think I should give Clarins a shot...
